Look what’s got the Aliens talking!

BOX8 receives an order from Saturn!

According to our sources, on 1st of May, something unexpected happened. Aliens tried to order a Paneer Makhani meal from BOX8. The delivery address which BOX8 received was from Saturn. This news has aroused questions like is there going to be an alien invasion? Can we befriend someone who is not earthly? Are the aliens trying to communicate? aliens – enemies or allies?

On 1st of may,2018 BOX8 employees were witnessing something fishy going on with their system. At exactly 2 pm IST BOX8 out of nowhere, they started receiving voicemails with a robotic voice saying “ Deliver paneer makhani meal, address – 8th moon of Saturn.” This message was repeatedly going on in the system. An expert team was called as everyone thought it was just a computer glitch. After investigating, they found out that the signals received were not earthly. They were transferred through Gama Radiation coming outside from the Earth’s atmosphere. This news created a havoc in the media industry and many media houses came to BOX8 headquarters to cover the story.

Soon a storm of buzz was created and scientist at various known research labs was paying a great deal of attention on both, tracing the Gama radiations as well as researching on food from BOX8 as why do people, as well as now even aliens, seem to like it. By interviewing BOX8’s spokesperson Ayush Gargh, said “ Surely it is a great achievement for us as well. We feel proud of the food which we serve though we might have to look at our 38 minutes food delivering policy before we start delivering to Saturn.”

5 Woes Of Carrying Tiffins To Work

Do you carry a tiffin to work? probably everyone does, given it is an essential part of our lives. Knowing how useful tiffins are, there are some major problems which come with using it.

Here a few issues with tiffins that we can all agree on,

Let’s face it, tiffins are heavy

No one likes carrying a bulky “dabba” every day to lunch, but what else can we do? Tiffins come in various sizes and materials, the ones made of steel are quite heavy compared to their plastic counterpart. Heavy tiffins on top of backpacks while travelling in a public transport is a struggle for sure.

Spilling or the worst possible thing that can happen

This situation brings out the best in all of us..at least when it comes to swearing. Frustration is a massive understatement, firstly the main thing i.e.the food is wasted and if by chance you had the brilliant idea, to keep your tiffin near the documents then..ouch!

Plastic containers even though light and compact, the chances of spilling increases in case of curries and daal.

Choices do matter

Due to tiffins, you may not get the choice of food you want every-day. Sometimes you may even have to eat “laukey” or “karela”. And as the saying goes “your food depicts your mood”, no one wants to be bitter all day. Plain rice is plain rice, no matter how much we may wish for it to magically turn into Biryani.

Cleaning or 15 minutes of phone time lost

Cleanliness is another hassle, especially which bachelors have to face. After a tiring day at work who would want to spend our night cleaning our tiffin and utensils as the time could be better utilized watching funny cat-videos.

Grocery prices & preparation time

Even after facing all the above problems the one thing that always melts our heart is the grocery bill. The half-hearted meal turns more depressing if the grocery prices shoots up. Granted no one can survive only on Maggi, though argument can be made because it’s delicious but buying the groceries and cooking meals every day, before going to work takes a lot of time. We do need our refreshing sleep, don’t we? 😉

You can never replace tiffins but there is an alternative to enjoy delicious Desi meals in the office. Here’s where Box8 comes into the picture with scrumptious all-in-1 meals, fusion boxes for wholesome lunch experience and wraps and sandwiches for people in the mood for something light and healthy. Some days a box(pun intended) is better than a tiffin. 🙂

How were Sandwiches invented?

Aren’t Sandwiches just wonderful! They are delicious, hassle free and they double up as snacks or meals as and when we desire! But do you know how sandwiches were invented?

Sandwiches have their origin in England in 1700s, and the credit goes to Lord Montague of Sandwich. He was an ardent gambler and did not tolerate any disturbance during his game of cards. On one such evening, he commanded his cook to make something which could be eaten without distracting his game of cards!

The chef was a mastermind, and he slapped the afternoon meat and vegetables in between two slices of bread and created the first sandwich as we know today. Lord Montague could now enjoy his game and have a fulfilling meal at the same time!

The invention was so awesome that the word soon traveled across continents via travelers. Being a convenient and delicious food item, sandwiches gained popularity throughout the world.  Today, sandwiches are the most popular food item throughout the globe!

At Box8, we recreated this masterpiece to suit your flare for a good sandwich with a Desi tinge. And we have cracked the perfect recipe for the modern, progressive, and Indian taste.

Protein of your choice cooked in sumptuous Indian spices, is paired with farm fresh vegetables, drizzled with our secret sauce and laid between warm oven baked multi-grain bread.

So go ahead and grab a bite!

Man’s Appetite for BOX8 Dal Makhni Sparks Assault at Get Together

The Mumbai City Civil Court has seen its fair share of thrilling and sometimes bizarre trials but the “Banta Singh vs Santa Singh” trial being held today takes the cake. In a “never seen before incident” as quoted by the witnesses, a peaceful and lively get-together descended into chaos after a brawl took place between two men over ‘BOX8’s Dal Makhani’.

Even the guests and police alike had a hard time accepting the reason. Later when the police released an official statement, the true story came out. The defendant Santa Singh, an avid fan of BOX8 meals went crazy soon after Banta Singh; ate the remaining dal makhani. Santa Singh claimed “I said dibs first before going to the washroom and by the time I came back, it was gone. Banta broke the ‘Bro Code’ !”.

Banta Singh refused to comment and despite his severe injuries, still ordered another dal makhani meal. The less than subtle attempt to provoke Santa was effective as the police had to restrain him; from going after Banta again.

When the question “what is so special about BOX8 Dal Makhani?” was raised by the reporters, the Company representative cheekily replied ”Try it yourself, it’s irresistible”

Stay tuned for live telecast of the trial and rumours suggest the defence lawyer is planning to use dal makhani; as evidence to plead “temporary loss of control” for Santa Singh.
